Give me sexy. Give me red. Give me rock and roll. Give me Jordan and Ian’s wedding.

Two music lovers at heart, with an eye for design, Jordan and Ian came to Brittanie Raquel Events with one specific vision in mind—a ceremony at the Brooklyn Arts Center with an aisle lined in red florals.

With this as a jumping off point for inspiration, Brittanie could not wait to get started on the design and put together an absolute dream of a wedding. While Jordan, Ian, and their friends worked on curating the personal touches (like the hand made seating chart and table signs made by the bride highlighting a love for music and vinyl, and a guest book made of a deck of playing cards), Brittanie pulled together the other design elements of linens, the black and white dance floor, an upgraded DJ booth complete with a gothic name sign (made by friends of Jordan), and rentals from multiple vendors to create a unique and dramatic design that was iconically Jordan and Ian.

Brittanie knew Mother of Wild’s eye for unique floral designs would be a perfect match for this non-traditional design, and through our collaboration, Mother of Wild’s team not only created the original vision of the red floral ceremony aisle but also a hanging installation that brought the design to an entirely new level.

When creating this specific of a design, it is important to bring together a team of vendors who are willing to think outside of the box and commit to the vision – whether its pairing the drama of the cool green draping and dramatic chandeliers with the modern, artistic design of the florals, or balancing the darkness of the decor with light color of the “king” tables to cohesively bring in the color of the venue walls.

This is the epitome of cohesive design within a space and a theme.

The room was such a special moment for everyone involved in making their day happen. Being able to see how grateful Jordan and Ian were when they saw their vision come to life was all the reward.
