EEmily and Colin’s wedding was inspired by their love for North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. They spend their weekends on the water, so it was perfect to invite their guests to a place so meaningful to them — with a coastal sunset as the backdrop. 

With blue patterned linens, pops of peach and pink in the florals, a DJ booth setup on an elevated stage, custom patterned hanging lanterns, and a sailcloth tent, we helped transform a tent outside into a full coastal experience.

While the original color palette was the traditional coastal blues and whites, we loved having a little bit of contrast with the greens, peaches, and pinks for the florals to really let all of the patterned elements stand out. Don’t be afraid to play with mixing patterns, shades of colors, and complementary colors to really elevate the design!

Backdropped by the beautiful (and BRE favorite) Beaufort Hotel, guests were surrounded by waterfront views for the ceremony and cocktail hour on the lawn and then cocktail style seating and catering to keep guests moving and grooving all night long.

Rather than having a structured timeline for the reception with a seated dinner, their main priority was to keep the energy high. We created this vibe with multiple lounge seating sets and high top tables to encourage groups to mix and mingle as they visited various stations around the room with different types of foods and desserts.

The energy only elevated when Emily and Colin climbed up on stage with Martin from Active DJ and blasted the crowd with their iconic CO2 cannon—bringing a night club feel to the Beaufort Hotel’s front lawn.

The night could not have been more iconic!
