Our full wedding planning clients Justin and Janai wanted to bring an elevated beach club experience to their guests, complete with an ocean breeze and bright yellow tones. 

We loved that they allowed us complete control of their design, starting with helping to find a venue that fit their vision. The Oceanic Pier was the perfect location, giving both views of the water and also a space easily transformed into an elevated beach club experience.

Their wedding design centered around the classic yellow stripes of a European beach club with shades of green for contrast and texture in the florals. From there, we created fun design elements that incorporate their love of travel and the true beach club experience (we’re very proud of the “access card” meal indicators and custom late-night snack cups!). 

We kept things simple for the ceremony, allowing the ocean view to speak for itself. We chose to bring in natural wood chairs to avoid too much starkness with bright white underneath the summer sun and a grounded floral arch so we could have floral elements without worrying about the wind blowing anything over. 

As we moved to the cocktail hour and reception on the pier, guests were greeted with a custom seating chart with maps of all of the cities that each of their guests traveled from. This was a very personal element that made every guest feel special and seen! 

Their tan and white checkered dance floor continued the warm tones from the ceremony, and the white draping made the deck softer and more romantic (and hid some of the industrial restaurant elements and poles we didn’t want to show!). These elements are necessary to transform the space from a daytime restaurant to an elevated wedding venue! 

It is important that when creating your wedding design, you are not only prioritizing looks and entertainment but also guest comfort. We brought in clear side walls to protect guests from the wind, soft banquet seating and cushioned chairs for dinner to elevate the experience, and market lighting to provide additional lighting and soften the space. 

They also opted for tableside wine service, which is always nice to keep guests from needing to get up to replenish their drinks! 

As you know, every Brittanie Raquel Events wedding needs an iconic moment. For Justin and Janai, it was definitely the branding for their wedding. We designed custom popcorn cups for their late-night fries and chicken nuggets, matchbooks, and indicator cards designed like hotel access key cards laid at each guests’ seat. We incorporated the “Wolz Beach Club” design into their signage and also their speciality cocktails!
