From the beginning of the planning process, Emily knew that she wanted to use her childhood home as the backdrop for her spring wedding. Along with that, they also wanted good food, personal details, and a dance floor that was never empty; it’s safe to say that all the boxes were checked off — with a few more checked along the way.
Beginning with a first look and a private letter exchange under the tree where Alex first met Emily’s parents, the wedding continued with the cocktail hour under that same tree. The guests were then escorted to a completely transformed backyard, complete with our favorite checkered dance floor, a stunning hanging floral installation, and a tent that covered the entire party.
The night’s details didn’t end there. We made sure to keep the special touches going with the groom’s signature drink (a Jack and Coke slushie), an espresso martini ice luge, a band that kept the dance floor moving, and a surprise firework display while Alex and Emily waved to their guest from their getaway boat.
Some people really can have it all (and more).
