Creating an exciting, elevated guest experience doesn’t have to come at the cost of losing interactions and intimacy. Brooke and Tyler wanted to give their guests a good time, but they also wanted to keep it close-knit and intimate.
The timeline included a pre-ceremony cocktail hour which gives guests ample time to arrive, mingle, and get a few drinks in. (This is especially nice for the one friend that is ALWAYS late.) In the pre-ceremony cocktail hour, kids handed out newspaper programs shouting, “Extra! Extra! Read all about it!”
For the reception, each table arrangement was each made of one type of flower in hues of blue, lavender, and lilac; these were paired with vintage candlestick holders and taper candles in pastel colors of the same palette.
One of the ways that Brooke and Tyler kept a personal touch was each place setting had a unique, thrifted mug that the bride and groom specifically choose for each guest with hand-written thank you notes tied to the mugs.
See, intimacy and extravagance CAN be best friends.
